Al Ahly have invited Saudi Arabia and captain to play in the charity match against Atlético Madrid on December 30.

Al Ahly recently announced that they will face the Spanish outfit in Alexandria at Borg El Arab stadium on Sunday, December 30 under the title “Peace against terrorism”. All proceeds from the match will go to the victims and families of terrorism in the country.

Al Ahly president and board had already extended an invitation to Saudi Arabia and Al Ittihad star Fahad Al Muwallad, United Arab Emirates’ Ahmed Khalil, Omar Abdulrahman, and Ismail Matar, and Bahrain’s Sayed Diaa and Ismail Abdel-Latif.

33-year old midfielder Taisir Al Jassim, who made his international debut in 2004, will become the seventh player to be invited to play in the match. He has played for Al Raqi since 2003, winning nine trophies, including the league title in 2016.

Atlético Madrid were last in Egypt when they faced Al Ahly arch-rivals, Zamalek in 2011 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the White Knights.
