OFFICIAL: Maqueda returns for third stint at Ittihad of Alexandria
Ittihad of Alexandria have announced the appointment of Spanish coach Juan José Maqueda for the third time.
The 48-year-old has already been in charge of the club twice in the past six years, with his first spell coming in 2011, when he managed to win only three games from 17 across all competitions and was sacked in January.
His second spell in charge took place during the 2016/2017 season, guiding the Greens to the eighth place after recording six wins, three draws and seven losses, however he was sacked and replaced by Hany Ramzy last July.
The former Real Madrid assistant coach will be the club’s third appointee of the season after disappointing results from both Cavalli and Hany Ramzy.
Ittihad currently sit 15th in the Egyptian Premier League table, and their next game will be against fifth place Zamalek on Wednesday, December 20.
