Arsenal legend questioned the possibility that Senegalese winger Sadio Mané’s jealousy of Mohamed

“Do you think there is a bit of jealous there? With Mo Salah,” Wright asked on BBC 5 Live.

“He just looks a little bit perturbed by it,” he went on to explain.

“Mo Salah has come in and – remember when Mané went to the Africa Cup of Nations and everyone was like ‘oh it’s over now, we can’t replace Mané,” Wright added.

Mané was away from for one month as he participated with in the 2017 African Cup of Nations. He missed the crucial penalty in the shootout against Cameroon in the quarter-finals.

“And now they’ve got Salah and he’s been on the bench,” he concluded.

The Senegalese winger was last left on the bench in Liverpool’s 4-0 thrashing of Bournemouth last Sunday with goals from Coutinho, Firmino, Lovren, and Salah enough to carry Liverpool into fourth place ahead of Arsenal.

Both Salah and Mané are expected to travel to Ghana together for the CAF Awards ceremony on January 4th, leaving a big question mark on their ability to play against Everton in the FA Cup the next day.
