OFFICIAL: Emad El-Nahas leaves Al-Ragaa

Emad El-Nahas

Al-Ragaa head coach officially left his position after a series of poor results with the team as confirmed by the club’s chairman.

El-Nahas, who previously led former EPL side Aswan SC to promotion and then surviving their first season back, left his post after a run of poor results in the league as Al-Ragaa are currently at the bottom of the table with only 8 points from 15 matches.

The former Ismaily and Al Ahly defender was appointed as the club’s coach in late September coming from Sharkia to replace resigned Khaled El-Kamash, however, he failed to enhance the club’s position and only won one match with them.

“I received a phone call from the football director on Saturday in which he informed that the board would like me to leave my position, so afterward I decided to resign,” the coach said in radio comments.

Al-Ragaa chairman Saad Abou-Sandoq confirmed the departure of El-Nahas and revealed that Ahmed El-Agouz will be taking over the club without confirming whether he will be the club’s official head coach or an interim coach.

“El-Agouz is an experienced coach as he led Tala’a El-Gaish in the league before, we will strongly support him to enhance our results in the next period,” the chairman added.

In addition to being a hardcore football fan, Abdelrahman is a communications enthusiast who works in marketing, advertising, content creation and PR.
