Doping-accused Petrojet player: I will protect my rights
Petrojet player Mohamed Dabash has asserted that he never intended to take any illegitimate drugs, confirming that he will protect his rights.
The CEO of Egyptian Organization of Anti-doping Osama Ghoneim has announced on Monday that the blood sample of Dabbash was tested positive for doping, recording the first doping case in the history of Egyptian football.
The Petrojet central defender admitted that he had an excuse to consume some medicines that contain enhancing substances due to some health issues he suffers from.
Dabbash said that he had no clue that the medication he took had prohibited substances. He also cited the case of Mohamed Barakat, who had a medical issue and obtained a clearance from CAF and Anti-doping committee to take certain medicine.
The 25-year-old defender promised to protect his rights after proving his innocence.
