OFFICIAL: Sherif Hazem joins Misr El-Makassa
Hazem has moved to El-Makassa after terminating his contract with Arab Contractors, where he struggled with getting enough playing time.
The 28-year-old defender was left out of the squad on 11 occasions and remained on the bench just three times.
The former Ismaily defender was on loan to Saudi Arabian side Al Wehda for the second part of the 2016/17 season. However, he moved to the Arab Contractors on a free transfer after the team’s relegation.
Hazem’s signing is Misr El-Makassa’s first of the winter transfer window which will officially open in January.
The team have endured an odd start to the season, winning games against the likes of Zamalek and Al Ahly, but falling to defeats against teams such as Al-Nasr and El Dakhleya. They currently sit in eighth place with 19 points from 15 games.
