Egypt national team head coach Hector Cuper says the team is buoyed by support from fans ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The Argentine manager is optimistic and confident ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, heaping praises on the staunch fans.
“As a coach, I want my team to appear in the best form. We must be optimistic and confident, but we must be realistic and do our best in preparing,” the 62-year-old said in a press conference in Dubai on Wednesday.
Cuper added that the players are ready to give their best for the sake of the fans. He has also explained why he chose Chechnya as a destination for the World Cup training camp.
“The enthusiasm from all the Egyptians really supports us. Players are very enthusiastic to deliver their best,” he added.
“We chose Chechnya to hold our training camp because its stadium is amazing and the weather there is very suitable,” he explained.
Egypt are drawn in group A of the 2018 World Cup alongside the hosts, Russia, Uruguay and fellow Arab country Saudi Arabia.
