Ahmed Samir

have completed the signing of on loan from Wadi Degla and from Al Masry.

23-year-old left-back Ahmed Samir has been well traveled in recent years, having played for the likes of Zamalek, Ismaily and El Dakhleya in the past. He joins Ittihad after spending three months with Wadi Degla.

He became Ittihad’s fourth signing of the winter transfer window after joining on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season as the Alexandria-based team have already acquired the services of Ahmed Kaboria, Shawky El-Said and Razack Cisse.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian defender Wilson Akakpo became the side’s fifth capture just hours later, joining them from Al Masry as the club which has been enduring a difficult season in an attempt to strengthen their side. Akakpo is rumored to have had issues with the Port Said outfits regarding unpaid wages, with photos circulating of him filing a complaint against the club in the Egypt FA headquarters.

Ittihad currently lie in 15th place with 14 points, and are hoping that their new signings can shore up a defense that has conceded the fourth most goals in the Egyptian Premier League this season.
