Ittihad of Alexandria sign Ghanaian forward Banahene

Ittihad of Alexandria completed their sixth signing in the winter transfer window as Ghanaian forward joins the team.

Banahene, who formerly played for Ismaily before moving to Turkish outfit Sanliurfaspor in February 2017 and then to Iraq’s Al-Minaa, will play for the Alexandrian side for two seasons and a half.

To strengthen their squad, Ittihad have already acquired the services of Ahmed Samir, Wilson Akakpo, Ahmed KaboriaShawky El-Said, and Razack Cisse.

The player previously left Egypt after a dispute with former club Ismaily that resulted in the termination of his contract after going months without getting paid, denying any claims that he ran away.

Ittihad currently lie in 15th place with 14 points, and are hoping that their new signings can shore up a defence that has conceded the fourth most goals in the Egyptian Premier League this season.
