Official: Tarek Yehia announced as new Petrojet manager
Petrojet announced the appointment of Tarek Yehia as their new manager, after Mohamed Youssef left the team by mutual consent.
Petrojet did not kick-off their Premier League season with the best start, as they currently sit 13th on the league table with 17 points, only four points away from the relegation zone. They also exited the Egypt Cup after losing 2-1 to Smouha in the round of 16.
The board of directors decided to appoint Yehia as their new technical director, replacing Mohamed Youssef who resigned on Sunday following three straight league defeats against Arab Contractors, Al Assiouty Sport and Al Ahly.
Hamada Anwar will be the director of football within the new system, and the technical staff includes Medhat Abdel-Hady and Ahmed Abdelfattah as trainers, while the goalkeeping coach is yet to be announced.
Yehia is due to take over training on Monday at the Petrosport Stadium. They are scheduled to face eighth place Entag El-Harby in the 17th round on Friday.
