Al-Nassr board dissolved by Saudi’s General Sport Authority
Board of Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr has been dissolved by Saudi General Sport Authority, a statement read on Monday.
Saudi’s top sports authority have released a statement on their official website announcing the dissolution of Al Nassr’s board following investigations with board member Salman El-Kariny.
The investigations have confirmed allegations against Kariny, who has been accused of conveying a bad image about sports in Saudi Arabia to FIFA. It also revealed that the current board, led by Prince Faisal Bin Turki, was aware of his violations.
The Authority decided to appoint Salman bin Fahad Al-Malik at the helm of the Saudi Pro Side on a temporary basis until the end of the season. The new board of directors is expected to be formed within a week.
