Salah Amin’s strike aids El-Gaish to overcome Zamalek
Zamalek were dealt their fourth defeat of the season on Wednesday evening after losing to Tala’a El-Gaish in the 10th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League.
The White Knights had the chance right after kick off, when Mohamed El-Shamy picked a lose ball inside the area, unfortunately his half volley went off target.
At the half hour mark Zamalek were awarded with a penalty which Salah Ashour failed to convert for the first half to end goalless. Ashour was replaced by Kasongo immediately at the interval.
The second half started with Zamalek holding possession but failing to threaten El-Gaish. The Military-based side were by their turn waiting to pounce on the break.
And they got what they craved for, when Salah Amin received the ball on the left flank, cut inside and opened the shooting angle before firing a fabulous curler into the far corner, to put his team in the lead.
The referee signaled six minutes of additional time and Tala’a El Geish subdued all the sieges by Zamalek until the final whistle.
With this result The Whites, who are now occupying the fourth place, have been deprived of an opportunity to break into the top three.
