Aristide Bancé flees Egypt for third time
Burkinabe international Bancé has fled the country for the third time since he joined Al Masry and right before the team’s Super Cup match against Al Ahly.
Bancé moved to Al Masry in the summer on a free transfer after he caught the attention of the Port Said side thanks to his performance at the 2017 African Cup of Nations. However, he made only seven appearances scoring three goals and assisting another before fleeing Egypt at the end of October.
In November, Al Masry announced the return of Bancé after a three-week absence. His return did not last long as he left Egypt once again citing continued payment issues. Al Masry announced that the player will return to the club but with the understanding that he will be sold January.
Recently, he returned again to Egypt and had a long meeting with club board and chairman which resulted in Al Masry announcing that there is no intention to let the player go and that he will be returning to training sessions normally after meeting all his requests.
Despite being included in Hossam Hassan’s squad that will face the Red Devils in the Super Cup match in the UAE, Al Masry said that the player fled the country after the team’s match against Smouha in the league.
