El-Badry: We will play the Super match focused to win the title

manager Hossam El-Badry stressed in a press conference on Thursday the importance of the Egyptian Super against Al Masry, as well as talking about his opponents.

In the conference, El-Badry, spoke about Al Masry explaining how good of a team they are, especially this time, as the team is strengthening its side with new signings like Islam Issa and former Ahly defender Abdallah El-Shamy.

The final, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates at Hazza Bin Zayed stadium in Al Ain,is an important target for the Ahly manager to achieve as he explained how both teams want to win as they both have their motivations and aspirations.

Badry spoke about the difference between Masry and Ahly rivals, Zamalek saying, “There’s a difference between the Zamalek game and Masry as in the super, every team want to win”.

His quotes on Zamalek comes after defeating the white knights 3-0 in the Cairo derby on Monday. Badry said,”I started thinking of Al-Masry game during the Zamalek encounter by subbing Abdallah El-Said off in the derby and not depending on him to finish the match.”

The 57-year old manager complained about the short time between the derby and the super, explaining that the team is under constant pressure because of reaching the final of the CAF Champions League.

He concluded by talking about the goalkeeping competition in the team, especially with Mohamed El Shennawy’s current excellent form saying, “I can’t confirm that Shennawy will start over Ekramy.” He added that having competition in each position is healthy and that if there wasn’t any the team “would have troubles.”
