EXCLUSIVE: Al Ahly contact Malick Evouna over possible return
Al Ahly have contacted their former star Malick Evouna over a possible return to the Red Castle, KingFut understands.
The 25-year-old Gabonese striker currently plies his trade with Turkish side Konyaspor, but KingFut understands that the club is looking to terminate his contract. As a result, Al Ahly have looked into bringing back their former star.
Evouna initially signed for the Red Devils in July 2015 where he made 35 official appearances, scoring 15 goals to lead Al Ahly to the Egyptian Premier League title.
The Gabonese striker then moved to Chinese outfit Tianjin Teda after only one season with the Egyptian champions. Evouna made 10 appearances with the Chinese side, scoring just three times. As a result of his performances, he was transferred to the reserves side.
Last August, Konyaspor completed the signing of the Gabonese forward on loan. He has since made 17 appearances scoring just one goal.
Konyaspor recently loaned out Nigerian striker Patrick Eze to 1.Lig side Denizlispor after playing 11 games and scoring just twice. The Konya-based team are also exploring the options to release Nigerian striker Imoh Ezekiel who has made 13 appearances without scoring any goals.
Al Ahly currently sit in second place in the Egyptian Premier League standings, with a game in hand, after their Derby win over Zamalek.
