Mahmoud Fathallah joins Arab Contractors
Mahmoud Fathalla returns to Egypt to join Arab Contractors on a free transfer following his departure from the Lebanese side Al-Nejmeh after his contract expired in December.
Former Zamalek defender has reportedly agreed to sign for Arab Contractors as their sports director stated on a televised show. Fathalla played for a year for the Lebanese side scoring one consolation goal for his side in their 5-1 defeat in the Beirut derby against Al Ansar.
The former Egypt international who played for seven seasons for Zamalek left in 2014 for a journey in the Egyptian Premier league that started with Tala’a El Geish for a year and Entag El Harby for two. Egypt’s veteran defender has also featured in two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments (2008 & 2010), winning the tournament both times.
The 35-year-old centre back expressed upon his departure from Lebanon: “It was a great experience and I’m very happy to have met some amazing and decent characters, I wish everyone the best of luck.”
