Klopp confirms Mohamed Salah is fit for Manchester City clash
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has confirmed Mohamed Salah is fit to face Manchester City on Sunday after recovering from a groin injury.
The Egyptian suffered a groin injury, which made him miss his side’s last two encounters against Burnley and Everton, but now he is in line to start the Manchester City game on Sunday.
“If nothing happens in the moment, Mo is back [on Sunday]. He is training completely normal and that’s very important for us,” Klopp said in his pre-match press conference.
The 25-year-old has been in superb form for Liverpool, scoring 23 goals and providing eight assists since his arrival from AS Roma last summer.
He won the Liverpool Player of the Month for December after scoring five goals and providing three assists as he helped his remain unbeaten in their last 13 league games.
