Al Masry confirm Hassan twins contract renewal talks ongoing
The Portsaid-based club released a statement, backing under-fire manager Hossam Hassan and his twin brother Ibrahim after losing the Egyptian Super Cup final to Al Ahly on Friday.
The club board expressed their faith in the twins saying that they bring “stability” to the club and will remain in their current positions.
They added that they trust the twins to stay in charge of the team as they have led the club to a top-four finish in the league for two consecutive seasons, which made them reach the Confederation cup, as well as reaching the Egypt Cup final and the Egyptian Super Cup for the first time in their history.
This is the twins’ third and longest spell at the club, leading them in 94 matches. They have won 48 matches, drew 24 games and lost 22.
Al Masry are currently third in the Egyptian Premier League with 30 points, 11 behind leaders Ismaily and their next game will be against Wadi Degla on Tuesday, January 16.
