Al Ahly winger Walid Soliman renews contract until 2020
Al Ahly winger Walid Soliman has managed to agree to renew his expiring contract with the league leaders until the summer of 2020.
Walid Soliman, whose contract was set to end next summer, has managed to put pen to paper and renew his contract until the summer of 2020.
Ahly’s football director, Sayed Abdel Hafiz, has sat down with Soliman and agreed to the contract extension of the the 33-year-old.
Soliman has joined the Red Devils in 2011 from ENPPI where he has previously worn the colours of Petrojet, Gouna and Haras El Hodoud.
The winger has managed to win eight titles while with the club; three League titles, two domestic cups, two Champions League titles and one Confederations Cup title.
Soliman has played a total of 176 matches with Al Ahly where he managed to score 36 goals while assisting 35 others.
It’s worth noting that Al Ahly are looking to renew the contracts of other players which are set to expire by the end of this season. They include: Sherif Ekramy, Ahmed Fathi, Abdallah El Said, Hossam Ashour and Sabry Rahil.
Rumors were beginning to swirl around regarding the departure of several Ahly players which were denied by the club.
