Egypt FA suspends and fines Al Masry boss Hossam Hassan
The Egyptian Football Association decided to fine and suspend Al Masry head coach Hossam Hassan following his improper actions after his team’s game with Petrojet.
Hassan was given four-game suspension and fined 20,000 EGP after TV cameras picked up his indecent actions during the 19th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
From his side, the former Zamalek coach justified his behavior saying that he was celebrating the last minute win and apologized to anyone who was offended by his actions.
Petrojet’s football director Hamada Anwar assured that his club and head coach Tarek Yehia will file an official note to the EFA regarding this incident. He said that he did not witness the incident but watched it later through TV screens.
Al Masry managed to beat Petrojet 2-1 and moved to third place, eight points behind league leaders Al Ahly.
