Egyptian FA president: Real Madrid will make an offer for Salah in summer
Egypt’s FA president Hany Abou-Rida confirmed that Real Madrid will make an offer for Egypt international Mohamed Salah during the summer.
Salah has been a vital player for Liverpool during the 2017/18 season, being the team’s top scorer with 24 goals in all competitions as well as providing seven assists.
The Liverpool’s fan favourite has only joined last summer from AS Roma for a whopping fee of €40 million and is believed by many to be on the move again but this time to Real Madrid.
According to a recent report, Salah’s Agent, Ramy Abbas, was in Madrid which added more weight to speculations linking Salah to the European giants.
“Real Madrid will make an offer for Salah during the summer,” said Abou-Rida in a televised interview.
“Salah is now looking to improve his game, obviously if an Egyptian plays for a club as popular around the world as Real Madrid, it is going to great for Egyptian football,” he added, after confirming Los Merengues interest in signing the Egyptian winger.
Egypt’s national team manager Hector Cuper also commented about the speculated move, saying: “I’ve received confirmed news revealing Real Madrid’s interest in Salah but let’s not rush things.”
