Abou-Taleb El-Essawy resigns as Ismaily coach
Ismaily coach Abou-Taleb El-Essawy has quit his job as first team manager following the side’s 1-1 home draw against Assiouty Sport in the Egyptian Premier League.
El-Essawy was hired as Ismaily coach in December of last year after the Yellows coach Sebastian Desabre made a sudden departure announcement to take over the Uganda job.
El-Essawy was also a temporal solution Ismaily resorted too last season after the sacking of František Straka. However, Ismaily have claimed only one win in their last four league games, the thing which scattered their league title hopes after losing the leadership to Al Ahly.
“I lift the embarrassment off the Ismaily board. There could be someone more capable of leading the team better than me and compete with them,” El-Essawy told ON Sport channel.
“We did everything in football but we the ball didn’t end up in the net. There is bad luck in addition to hard working conditions.”
