Ittihad’s Mohamed Atwa signs for Saudi side Al-Raed FC

Ittihad of Alexandria defender has officially signed for Saudi Pro League side Al-Raed FC on a permanent basis.

The Alexandrian club’s official website stated that the transfer was estimated to be worth $230,000, in addition to 10 per cent of any future transfer values as part of solidarity and compensation rules.

The 27-year-old joined Ittihad from Misr El-Makkasa on a free transfer during the 2016 summer transfer window, featuring in 16 official matches and scoring two goals.

Atwa will be the second player to join Al-Raed this season, after fellow Egyptian Mahmoud Abdel-Razek ‘Shikabala‘, who joined the Saudi side last summer on a one-year loan deal from Zamalek SC.

Al-Raed currently sit in the 14th and last place of the Saudi Professional League with 13 points from 17 games.
