Assiouty boss Aly Maher handed four-game suspension
Egyptian Football Association decided to suspend Assiouty Sport manager Aly Maher for four games after his actions during the 21st round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The EFA’s competitions committee decided to hand Aly Maher a four-game suspension after his ill-mannered actions when his team faced Ittihad of Alexandria in the last round of the EPL.
Clashes happened during the match after the game’s referee gave Assiouty their second penalty kick in the dying minutes. The decision left Ittihad of Alexandria staff and fans furious as staff members demanded players to withdraw from the match.
The committee also handed Ittihad of Alexandria football director Mohamed Ibrahim a two-game suspension and a 20,000 EGP fine following his actions during the game. Additionally, both teams will also be paying a 10,000 EGP fine.
