Senegal international has completed a move on temporary basis from to Turkish club Sivasspor, where he will spend the remaining four months of the season.

Saivet has joined Newcastle in the 2016 January transfer window. However, he made a loan move to Saint-Etienne only six months later due to lack of playing time.

The 27-year-old midfielder returned to the Premier League side in summer 2017 but still couldn’t earn the trust Rafael Benitez, who gave the former Bordeaux midfielder just one Premier League appearance this season.

Saivet opted to accept another loan spell in the Turkish league with Sivasspor as he is keen to earn a spot in the Senegal squad heading to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Sivasspor are currently eighth in the Turkish Süper Lig after collecting 27 points from 19 games.
