Khouma Babacar joins Sassoulo from Fiorentina

forward, , switched Seria A sides after joining US Sassoulo from ACF Fiorentina in a swap deal for Diego Falcinelli.

Sassulo are set to acquire the strikers services for €10m with the Black and Greens’ striker Diego Falcinelli going the other way on loan with an option to buy. Babacar has been a loyal servant to the Violas after coming up the youth ranks and scoring on his first team debut, only three days after turning 17.

The Senegal international featured in 17 games for Fiorentina this season in Serie A, most of them coming on as a substitute. Babacar has five goals and two assists to his name in all competitions this term.

With the World Cup coming up, Babacar aims to get as many game time to improve his chances of joining his side at Russia. After making his debut at the 2017 African Cup of Nations against Ghana, the 24-year-old striker will be looking guarantee his place in the squad travelling to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Youssef Wael is a massive Al Ahly and Manchester United supporter from Cairo, Egypt. One of the few Egyptians who never really wanted to have a career in football, just played it as a hobby. Wael also played squash for 7 years.
