Nigerian duo Etebo and Emenike join Las Palmas
Etebo, 22, joined the Spanish side from Portuguese side Feirense on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy. He enjoyed a fruitful spell in the Primeira Liga, scoring nine goals in 52 appearances for the side based in Santa Maria. He is an energetic box to box midfielder noted for his powerful late surges into the box.
He joined Feirense in January 2016 as a free agent after his contract with Warri Wolves expired at the end of the 2015.
Meanwhile, Emenike joins his compatriot on loan from Greek outfit Olympiacos, where he scored four goals in 10 appearances. He had moved to the Greek side in the summer of 2017 from Turkish giants Fenerbahçe.
The 30-year-old striker, who is a seasoned professional, started off his journeyman career which has spanned 10 clubs at MP Black Aces. The most notable of these clubs being English side West Ham United and Russian side Spartak Moskow. Emenike also enjoyed a successful 2013 AFCON, where he finished as top scorer and was placed in the team of the tournament as Nigeria won their third title.
The duo may make their debuts for the Canary Island side in their next game against fellow strugglers Malaga, in a face off between the bottom two teams in La Liga. The game takes place on Monday 5th of February.
