Gabon international Guélor Kanga moves to Sparta Prague
The 27-year-old midfielder has joined for an undisclosed fee and is expected to provide drive and control the midfield as the Czech side looking to qualify for the European Competitions.
Sparta Prague have announced the signing this morning on their official website and the player has already passed his medical.
He becomes Sparta Prague’s fourth signing the winter after Romania internationals Nicolae Stanciu and Florin Nita and Serbia’s Mihailo Ristic.
With over than 25 appearances for his home country and over than 140 appearances for a number of reputable clubs like Rostov and Red Star, Kanga is expected to be a successful signing for one of the biggest clubs in the Czech Republic.
Kanga may prove to be an inspiration for young Africans to try and move to Eastern European clubs as he was previously the first Gabonese international to play in the Serbian first division.
It’s worth mentioning that Kanga was part of the Gabon squad that took part in the 2017 AFCON, playing the opening game against Guinea-Bissau.
