When asked about his opinion on the new club, Gomaa said, “Al-Faisaly has a lot of exciting young prospects in the squad and are also in contention for titles this year. I hope I can contribute to that and become a fan favorite.”

Al Faisaly is currently third in the league table with 30 points, 9 points behind league leaders Al-Hilal with 18 matches played each.

This guy should shut up. Alongside Salah and Hegazy he was one of the only Egyptians that could’ve made it to top European teams. Anybody who watched him on a regular basis at Madeira knows that S.Gomaa is one of the most talented passers and vision-man in the history of Egyptian football…however, this guy won’t even be remembered 5 years from now. It all started when he decided to come back to Egypt for no reason. Another season or two in the Primeira Liga and he would’ve either changed to a better league or transitioned to Porto/Benfica/Sporting and eventually to a big club.

Now he is so unprofessional he can’t even make it to Al-Ahly’s bench. Why take a guy like that with the group to the WC? So we make sure that he distracts a couple of players if not a good part of the group with him?
