Fady Farid scores on his Al-Nassr debut
Egyptian striker Fady Farid scores on his debut with Omani side Al-Nassr as they advance to the quarter finals of the Omani Cup.
Farid, who joined Al-Nassr on a six months loan from Cairo giants Al-Ahly, was able to score on his debut as his new side won 5-0 against Al-Rustaq in the Sultan Qaboos Cup.
The 20-year-old started the game on the bench before coming on to score his side’s fourth goal in the 86th minute.
This result means that Al-Nassr have now advanced to the quarter finals in the Omani cup and will be facing Al-Bashaer Club.
Al-Nassr currently sit in the third position on the Omani Premier League table with 24 points, 10 behind the league leaders Al-Suwaiq Club. First place is also the only spot to qualify for the AFC Cup, meaning Al-Nassr will have their work cut out to play in continental competition next season.
