Momen Zakaria ‘only concerned’ with domestic double with Al Ahli
Al Ahli attacker Momen Zakaria has admitted that he is not thinking beyond this season at the time being and is not concerned whether he is going to continue his career abroad or return to Al Ahly.
Zakaria joined Saudi giants Al Ahli on a six-month loan deal from Al Ahly. The 29-year-old managed to make an immediate impact in Saudi Arabia, scoring three goals in his first four games with his new team, with one of the goals coming in the Saudi Professional League and the other two in the King’s Cup.
Al Ahly loanee’s solid start with Al Ahli have reportedly drove the Saudi club to initiate attempts into acquiring Zakaria on permanent basis.
“I am not thinking about anything right now and I am not concerning myself with anything but giving more effort for the team,” Zakaria told MBC Pro Sports.
“I hope to achieve the double with Al Ahli as we are not far [from first place] in the league and we reached the King Cup’s quarterfinal. I am definitely doing my best to be among the Egypt squad in the World Cup this summer.”
