Ramadan Sobhi scores in Stoke City’s U23 win over Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough were winning the game with two goals to one, until Sobhi beat his marker, tapping in the equaliser past Zachary Hemming with only 12 minutes left on the clock.
In the dying minutes, forward Tyrese Campbell bagged his second of the day and the team’s winner, after connecting with a Tre Pemberton cross.
Since the arrival of new coach Paul Lambert, Sobhi has featured only once as a substitute against Huddersfield and he did not last a minute before the final whistle.
The Potters are currently sitting in 18th position on the table, fighting against relegation as they have only secured one win since Christmas.
Sobhi will be hoping his performance with the U23 team on Monday evening was enough to grasp the attention of Lambert.
Stoke City will be facing Brighton in their upcoming Premier League fixture on February 10.
