Zamalek’s loanee scored the winning goal as beat Al Batin 3-1 in matchday 21 of the Saudi Professional League.

Mahmoud Shikabala has shown another impressive performance since joining the Saudi league, netting his eighth goal in 18 appearances across all competitions.

The first-half witnessed two Brazilian goals from both contenders, as Al Raed’s Edison Tarabai headed in the opener for his side in the 25th minute, before Jhonattan Benites scored the equalizer for Al Batin, a few minutes before the half-time whistle.

Al Raed kept the chances going for the rest of the first-half as Shikabala launched a neat cross for his teammate Ismail Bangoura, who attempted a sidekick, but his shot went wide.

The second-half kicked off as powerful for Al Raed, as it took them less than ten minutes to regain their lead. In the 53rd minute, substitute Sager Otayf collected the ball and fed Ismail Bangoura a perfect pass and the Guinean scored his side’s second of the game.

Shikabala came so close to score the third for Al Raed, attempting to capitalize on the keeper’s howler, but the ball was hard to collect and the keeper managed to fix his mistake.

Seconds before the final whistle, Lopes Amora caught Shikabala running in acres of space and fed him a great ball, which the Egyptian collected to score his side’s third of the game.

The result moves Al Raed to the 13th place, two points above Ohod, who still have a game in hand against Al Taawoun.

Al Raed’s next fixture will be against Ahmed El-Sheikh and Hussein El-Sayed’s side Al Ettifaq on Friday, February 16.
