Shikabala: New coaching staff has done great work since arrival

After ’s victory over Al Batin in the Saudi Pro League, Egypt international and Al Raed‘s midfielder, Shikabala, expresses his delight to work with the new coaching staff.

The 31-year-old scored Al Raed’s third goal, seconds before the final whistle, and assisted another to secure the win and three points for his club against Al Batin.

In his post-match interview, talked about working with the new staff and stated, “The new appointed coaching staff has done great work since their arrival. The coach, Nacif Beyaoui, has only been here for two days, but modified many aspects in the team and gave us the motivation to win tonight’s match.”

“The coach gave me instructions to shift from the midfield to the forward position, and I did not have any problems with that. Thanks to God, this urged me score the third goal and help the team, ” said Shikabala on his goal.

When asked about his “stay quiet” sign he displayed to Al Batin’s bench, he stated, “This sign was not intended to anyone. I do not know why Al Batin players thought it was intended to them or their coach. It was just a regular celebration and I did not mean to send a message to anyone.”

After the win, Al Raed moves to the 13th place, two points above Ohod, who still have a game in hand against Al Taawoun. Al Raed’s next fixture will be against Ahmed El-Sheikh and Hussein El-Sayed’s side Al Ettifaq on Friday, February 16.
