EXCLUSIVE | Omar Mira on the verge of joining PAS Giannina
Arab Contractors player Omar Mira is close to finalizing a move to the Greek side PAS Giannina next summer after spending a trial period with the club.
18-year-old Mira underwent a fruitful trial period last window at the club and is looking to seal his move to the Greek Super League outfits next window.
Mira will travel to Greece next week to start a physical program there in preparation to join the Ioannina based side awaiting the summer transfer window to start negotiations with Arab Contractors on a deal for the attacking midfielder.
Omar Mira has been previously praised by his coaches as the heir of Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Elneny’s legacy, to what the young talent holds from impressive skills and potentials to reach the peak. In the season of 2016/17 Mira bagged 21 goals and provided 13 assists with Arab Contractors in his age group.
The player was also called up two times with the U-21 Egyptian National team and three with the U-19 where he scored 2 goals in friendlies. In addition to joining the first team training sessions and getting his debut against Petrojet last season, also featuring against Tanta in the league this season.
If the deal gets finalized by next summer, Omar Mira will join the Super League with the PAOK loanee Amr Warda who is having an impressive season with Atromitos Athens so far, scoring 9 goals and providing five assists in all competitions.
