Ibrahim, El-Shamy excluded as Zamalek announce squad to face Degla

Zamalek manager Ehab Galal has announced an 18-man squad to face struggling Wadi Degla in gameweek 24 of the .

The White Knights, who defeated Smouha over the weekend, will host Degla at the Cairo International Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

The squad witnessed the absence of Mahmoud Hamdy ‘El-Wensh’ for suspension due to accumulation of yellow cards. Bassem Morsy and Nana Poku were also excluded due to injuries.

Galal also left out Mohamed Ibrahim, Mohamed El-Shamy, Islam Gamal, Ahmed Aboul-Fotouh and Ahmed Refaat for technical reasons.

Zamalek Squad:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed El-Shennawy, Omar Salah

Defenders: Mahmoud Alaa, Mohamed Abdel-Ghany, Hamdy Nagguez, Moayad Ajan

Midfielders: Moruf Yousef, Mohamed Ashraf, Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz, Tarek Hamed, Abdallah Gomaa, Ayman Hefny, Youssef Obama, Ahmed Tawfik, Emad Fathi, Mohamed Antar, Ahmed Madbouly.

Forwards: Kabongo Kasongo

Zamalek and Degla will both be looking to earn their third win in a row when they face off on Wednesday. The White Knights currently sit fourth on the league table on 39 points, while Degla are 14th on 23 points.
