Didier Drogba’s son joins Guingamp’s youth team

The son of Chelsea and Ivory Coast legend , , has officially signed for Ligue 1 club Gunigamp to join the club’s academy team.

Drogba jr will be following the footsteps of his father, who played for Guingamp in an early stage of his career in 2002, scoring 20 goals for the French outfit.

The 17-year-old youngster joined Guingamp from Chelsea’s youth sector were he played for the U-18 team. However, the French team highlighted that Isaac will join the U-19 team.

Guingamp’s statement:

“The recruiting sector of EA Guingamp Academy is very happy to register the signing of Isaac Drogba, the son of Didier Drogba. Born in Vannes, on December 15, 2000 and trained at Chelsea. He joined U-19 team in the academy


We wish to welcome Isaac and the full success of EA Guingamp.”
