Liverpool’s front three are beating everyone, says Zabaleta
Following their 4-1 defeat at Anfield stadium to Liverpool, West Ham fullback Pablo Zabaleta shared some thoughts on the game and the Reds’ deadly trio.
Last Saturday, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane all found the net leaving the Hammers’ back-line suffer in silence.
Former Manchester City defender Zabaleta spoke to the media after the game about the qualities of the Liverpool players and how deadly they become at Anfield stadium.
“It was tough, Anfield is always a tough place to come,” Zabaleta said.
“They were better. I thought in the first half we were good, we had a good few chances, but in the second half we were not good enough.
“They are a team that are intense, they keep going forward and have quality up front.
“They are so direct and they make the runs in behind. They create chances playing that way and they can score goals.
“It is not only against West Ham – we have seen they can score more than two or three goals against top sides.
The Argentinean had a few last words on Liverpool’s current front-line.
“Those three guys up front now are in a really good moment. They are difficult to play against. They don’t give a point of reference, they are so mobile. They are good players. In the second half we gave them too many chances,” he added.
Salah has fired 23 goals in the Premier League, only one short from top goal scorer Harry Kane, while Firmino and Mane have scored 13 and 7, respectively.
