New date announced for postponed Al Ahly-Dakhleya Egypt Cup clash

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) have announced a new date for the clash with in the round of 16 of the .

The EFA announced that the postponed Egypt Cup match between both teams will be held on Friday, April 13, at the Al-Salam Stadium. The clash was originally postponed as Al Ahly were due to face Misr El-Makkasa in a postponed league match on the same day.

The Cairo giants, who put one hand on the league title after defeating Dakhleya on Wednesday, will be looking to earn another victory over the police-owned side in April to continue their Cup title defense.

The Red Devils reached the round of 16 after thrashing Telephonat Beni Suef, while Dakhleya earned a 1-0 victory over Al-Nasr in the same round.

The winner will join Wadi Degla, Zamalek, Entag El Harby, Smouha, Ismaily, Assiouty Sport and Arab Contractors in the quarter-final of the competition.

Smouha are scheduled to face Degla, while Ismaily will play against Contractors in the quarter-final on April 14.
