Al Ahly loanee assisted his side’s third goal while featured as Al-Shabab beat Al-Ittihad 3-0 in the 22nd week of the

Al-Shabab entered the match in ninth place with 26 points from 21 games after losing 2-1 to Al-Hilal two weeks ago. Meanwhile, Al-Ittihad entered in fifth place with 30 points from 21 games after 0-0 with Al-Fateh.

Early in the match, Kahraba sent a cross into the box after dribbling up the field, but Al-Shabab defenders cleared it successfully. He was once again in the middle of the action as he won a foul right outside the box.

However, Al-Shabab took the lead in the 13th minute as Sebastián Ubilla scored a great goal from Mohamed Benyettou’s assist. Ubilla’s goal was his second with Al-Shabab and his first goal in the league since joining in January.

Towards the end of the half, provider turned scorer as Benyettou scored his seventh goal of the season as he headed in from Fahad Ghazl’s assist. By the end of the half, Al-Ittihad enjoyed great possession and pass accuracy. However, Al-Shabab had more shots and the same number of shots on target as Al-Ittihad.

In the third minute of the second-half, Kahraba missed a golden chance to put Al-Ittihad on the board. The Egyptian international was the Tigers’ main man going forward on multiple occasions during the opening stages of the second-half.

In the 63rd minute, Amr Barakat wonderfully made his way up the left side of the pitch and put a cross inside the box that Ubilla scored his second goal of the match from. Al-Ittihad simply had no answer for Al-Shabab as they failed to score in four consecutive league games for the first time in their history in the Professional Era (2008/09 forward).

The result puts Al-Shabab in sixth place with 29 points from 22 games, while Al-Ittihad sit in fifth place with 30 points from 22 games. Al-Shabab will next face Al-Nassr in the 23rd week of the Saudi Professional League on March 6. Meanwhile, Al-Ittihad will come face-to-face with Al-Taawoun on March 5.
