Official: Tarek Hamed extends Zamalek contract
Zamalek midfielder Tarek Hamed has extended his contract with the White Castle for three more years, the club announced on Saturday.
The Zamalek board previously revealed they’re looking to renew Hamed’s contract, as it’s due to expire by the end of next season. The club’s board member Ismail Youssef announced that the Egypt international put pen to paper on a new contract that will keep him at Zamalek until 2021.
Hamed helped the White Knights win the 2014/15 Egyptian Premier League title, two Egypt Cup titles and the 2016 Egyptian Super Cup trophy, since completing his move from Smouha in 2014.
The 29-year-old made 26 appearances for Zamalek in the 2017/18 season, 25 in the league and one in the cup.
Hamed’s contract renewal comes few hours after Zamalek goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shennawy extended his contract with the White Castle.
