Salah named Fans’ Player of the Month for third time
Egypt international Mohamed Salah won February’s PFA Premier League Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award for the third time.
In February, Salah resumed his habit of hitting the net after he scored four goals including a brace against Tottenham Hotspur, in addition to providing two assists.
Salah was able to earn 37 per cent of the vote, exceeding his teammate Roberto Firmino who finished second. He also managed to surpass Stoke City’s Jack Butland, Manchester United’s Chris Smalling, Brighton’s Pascal Gross and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
Additionally, the 25-year-old won the Match of the Day’s Goal of the Month accolade thanks to his brilliant solo effort in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against the Spurs.
The Egypt international was up against Danilo (Manchester City), Lemina (Southampton), Jose Izquierdo (Brighton and Hove), Wanyama (Tottenham), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) and Adam Smith (Bournemouth).
The Egyptian winger has had a sensational first season so far with the Reds. Having already scored 32 goals across all competitions, he has proved to be the Premier League signing of the season.
He has 24 goals to his name in 28 Premier League matches and is a major contender for the Golden Boot, with Harry Kane (24) and Kun Aguero (21) being his closest rivals.
