Mohamed Helmy appointed by Tala’a El-Gaish as new coach
Tala’a El-Gaish have officially has entrusted former Zamalek manager Mohamed Helmy as coach for the coming period, succeeding departing coach Helmy Toulan.
Toulan managed 18 games in his latest stint with El-Gaish, where he had won just six of them.
The 68-year-old coach handed his resignation to El-Gaish management following the poor form of the team that have seen them lose their last five games, and it was accepted later on by the club.
The military-based club have quickly moved to secure a replacement and they found in Helmy the right man for the job. El-Gaish also hire Mohamed Gouda as assistant coach and Mohamed Youness as goalkeepers coach.
El-Gaish are in the 12th place in the Egyptian Premier League with 32 points and will attempt to climb higher in the standings and stay further from relegation zone.
