Abou-Treika praises Elneny after Arsenal’s victory over Watford
Mohamed Elneny started for the Gunners in the 30th round of the English Premier League playing as part of a two-man pivot in midfield alongside Granit Xhaka as the London-based club secured a 3-0 victory.
“Elneny performed very well, one of his best attributes is that he could be away from the starting line up for a few matches but when he returns he is in a good form,” Abou-Trika told beIN Sports.
The 25-year-old has made 25 appearances for Arsenal this season, scoring once and assisting twice, winning the club’s Player of the Month award for January.
“He was freer when he played against Watford, he managed to take good advantage of space in the midfield,” Al Ahly former playmaker added. “He was present everywhere on the pitch.”
Arsenal are currently sixth in the Premier League with 48 points, 10 away from the fourth place and their next game will be against AC Milan at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday, March 15.
