Cuper interested in Al Hilal’s Saudi-Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Ashraf – Report
Saudi Arabia reports claimed that Egypt national team head coach Hector Cuper is watching Saudi-Egyptian Ahmed Ashraf as he is interested in including the young player in Egypt’s squad as they prepare for the World Cup in Russia.
Ahmed Ashraf, who currently plays for Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hilal, possesses an Egyptian nationality and holds the Kingdom’s passport. He has never featured for any of the two national teams.
The reports further claimed that the Saudi Arabian national team is also following Ashraf and might be including him in the Green Falcons’ squad that will go to the World Cup, especially after he was recently praised by a number of football experts in the country.
Ashraf is an Egyptian who was born in Saudi Arabia which helped him find a spot in a Saudi club. He might be facing a problem playing with Al Hilal as the Asian Football Confederation wants the Saudi outfit to register the midfielder as a foreign player and not a local one.
