Al Ain coach: El-Shahat’s desire to remain here is present
Responding to reports that Al Ain backed out of a deal to sign El-Shahat permanently, Mamic said, “The transfer stories and rumors always end and become part of football”.
He added, “Personally, I called for the continuation of El-Shahat’s contract, given his ability to make a difference and his high potential”. In 10 official matches for the club, El-Shahat has contributed 7 goals and 10 assists.
Mamic continued, “But the decision to contract El-Shahat is not only in the hands of the coach, but the clubs and the player himself have an important role to play in completing the transfer. The desire of El-Shahat to continue with Al Ain is present, and personally I wish for him to remain in my team”.
Mamic concluded by saying that Al Ain gave El-Shahat the opportunity to reach this success, which has led to him being called up to the Egypt squad. He finished by saying, “However, the situation in the world of football is changing overnight and the truth, before the transfer of the El-Shahat to Al Ain, no one expected him to reach this level”.
El-Shahat joined Al-Ain in January for a fee of around 500,000 USD, on a sixth month loan deal.
