Hossam Hassan expects tough second leg with Simba
Al Masry manager Hossam Hassan believes that his side’s home leg against Simba will be a tougher test than the one they had against Green Buffaloes.
Al Masry eased to a 5-2 aggregate win over the Zambian outfit in the previous qualifying round of the CAF Confederations Cup, and face Tanzanian side Simba for a chance to reach the group stage of the competition, with the first leg in Dar es Salaam providing a 2-2 draw.
However, Hossam Hassan does not expect the home leg to be as comfortable as against their previous opponents. The former Egypt international said “We had a good game away from home, and could have easily won. I’m satisfied with my players’ performance, but there is still more to play for. Our home game will be a tough one,”
He continued, “Simba is a great team with huge continental experience. They showed what they are capable of doing in the first leg. We have to remain focused and get a win that will see us through,”
Al Masry face Simba in Port Said for the second leg on Saturday at 7:30pm Egyptian time.
