Stoke City coach has stated that left a good impression on him when he came on during the Potters’ defeat to Manchester City.

Sobhi featured in the final two minutes against Manchester City in the game that saw Stoke City sustain a 0-3 defeat at home from the English Premier League table.

The former Al Ahly winger has overall recorded a very shy appearance with Stoke since the start of 2018, coming off the bench in three games out of nine played by his side including two where he came on late during the game.

“I thought Ramadan did well on Monday, and he is ready to play,” Lambert said.

“He is enthusiastic and has really good attributes – he has good speed and he has a lot to learn, so he is really in my thinking for the game.”

Despite the lack of playing time, the 21-year-old winger has been called up by Egypt coach Hector Cuper for Egypt’s friendly games against Portugal and Greece in March.
