Elneny’s Arsenal to face CSKA Moscow in Europa League quarter-finals

’s Arsenal will take on Russian side PFC CSKA Moscow in the quarter-finals of the .

The Egypt international played all of Arsenal’s games in the Europa League this season, scoring once against BATE Borisov in the group-stages.

The English side reached the last eight by beating Sweden’s Östersund 4-2 over two legs, before seeing off Italian giants AC Milan 5-1 on aggregate.

Meanwhile, CSKA Moscow knocked out Serbia’s Red Star Belgrade and Olympique Lyonnais of France to reach this stage.

The first leg will be played on Thursday, April 5 at the Emirates, with the return leg taking place on Thursday, April 12 at the VEB Arena.

Elneny will be hoping to become the first Egyptian to lift a European title, but it will not be an easy task, especially with teams like Atlético Madrid, Marseille, and Lazio in the competition.

On the other hand, German side RB Leipzig will face France’s Olympique de Marseille, while favourites Atlético Madrid will be up against Sporting Lisbon. Serie A outfit Lazio will take on underdogs FC Red Bull Salzburg.
