’s second half comeback was cancelled out in a dramatic 3-2 win for in a game which saw Trezeguet assist Diagne’s equaliser that proved to be in vain.

Kasimpasa XI: Kose, Popov, Ben Youssef, Omeruo, Veigneau, Pavelka, Ildiz, Eduok, Mensah, Trezeguet, Diagne.

Antalyaspor XI: Boffin, Sangare, Djourou, Angelo, Aytac, Maicon, Charles, Kurtulus, Jevtovic, Kadah, Doukara.

While Kasimpasa were significantly higher in the table going into the game, their opponents are in desperate need of a win which can often be the setting to produce the best performances in a team.

The first half was not the most memorable, with the main talking points being yellow cards to the likes of Mensah and Sangare. That was untilt he 42nd minute when Deniz Kadah gave the away side a surprise lead from Doukara’s assist to take a 1-0 lead into the interval.

Kasimpasa did not start the second half in the best fashion as their Ghanaian playmaker was sent off five minutes in. Things went from bad to worse as Antalyaspor doubled their lead with Doukara turning from provider to scorer.

The Apaches have been having an overall good season, and their quality started to show midway through the second half when their Senegalese striker Diagne tucked the ball away to get his side back into the game.

Diagne then picked up his brace minutes later as Egypt international Trezeguet found himself in a tight space at the edge of the box but had the composure to find Diagne who provided a powerful finish to equalise for Kasimpasa.

In the final ten minutes of the game, Antalyaspor were able to pick themselves back up and regain the lead thanks to a cross being flicked on into the danger zone before Alpsoy headered past the helpless Kose as the Scorpions won 3-2.

The result means that Antalyaspor are up to 13th in the table and further clear of the relegation zone that they ahve been flirting with this season. Kasimpasa are in 11th place, but may be overtaken by Bursaspor if they avoid defeat this weekend.

Kasimpasa’s next game is against Goztepe after the international break on Saturday 31st of March.
